Just Imagine….

There are so many relaxing things to do.  Sit on our front porch with a book or lounge on our back deck sipping a glass of wine.  Go for a quiet walk on the beach.  Walk, drive, or bike to the Village and enjoy the sunset from the Pier or have a leisurely late breakfast at one of the many restaurants.

Spending Family Time

Take your family to the beach.  At low tide the ocean is very calm and at high tide there are small waves to play in.  Neptune Park in the Pier Village has pools with slides and mini golf next door.  There is also a playground and there are plenty of picnic tables with BBQs for your family to enjoy.  Play frisbee on the large lawn in front of the library.

Dogs on the BeachPet Friendly Beach

Vacationing With Your Dog

Our cottage is pet friendly and so is St Simons Island as a whole.  Most restaurants with outside dining allow your furry friend to accompany you at the table.  Also, most stores in the Village allow you to shop with your dog and many leave out water bowls and offer your pet a treat.  Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend dogs are allowed on the beaches before 9 am and after 6 pm.  Other times of the year dogs may be on the beach any time of day.

Backbeat Blvd on JekyllSt Simons Island Local Music

Discovering Awesome Local Music

The musical talent of our two favorite local bands, Backbeat Boulevard and the Mufflers, is truly an unusual treat.  There are many other great local bands and venues on the island playing a variety of music.  Enjoy dancing, just listening, and meeting other vacationers and locals.  Most music is free at local restaurants/bars and is often outside under the stars and live oaks.

Having Great Food with Family and Friends

Eat in or dine out.  Our kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking in.  There are great restaurants to enjoy all over the island and in Brunswick.  Several wonderful restaurants are within walking distance from the cottage.  Our favorite is breakfast or lunch at Palm Coast (in the Village) on their outdoor patio.

There are so many ways to explore St Simons Island, whether on bikes, kayaks, on foot, or in a car.  You can visit historical sites, nature preserves, and wildlife habitats.  Take a day trip to Savannah, Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, or Darien for an enjoyable day out.
