Meet Art and Linda

We are retired teachers from rural upstate New York and spend our winters on St Simons Island. Our discovery of St. Simons Island was by chance and we immediately fell in love with the village, the beautiful beaches, and friendly people. We rented vacation homes for many years, both on school breaks and as retiree snowbirds, and this helped us learn what makes a good vacation rental. We purchased the cottage in 2012 and are very happy to share arli cottage by making it available to vacationers during the spring, summer, and fall. It is our goal to make your stay as perfect as possible. We know you will love it as much as we do.

Since we spend our winters here every year and know the home so well, we can offer you a cottage in excellent condition. Considering the yearly enhancements and continued routine maintenance, we are able to offer a rental cottage that is much more likely to be problem-free. This is one of the many things that makes arli cottage stand out among the rest. We are here every year to take care of it all.

It’s right in the heart of SSI – close to the beach, village, biking trails, restaurants. The outdoor shower makes it easy for pets and people to wash off sand from the beach and take showers too, as it’s very private. We loved the screened porch to sit out for breakfast or dinner, and the backyard deck. The kitchen has every conceivable utensil you would need to prepare a gourmet meal. There are TV/DVRs in every room. The furniture is new, clean and comfortable. There were also welcoming fresh flowers, bottle of wine and a few chocolates upon arrival – even a dog bed to use – all very nice touches that definitely make this cottage feel like home”.
